Love Letter to Milan by Sam Youkilis
To announce the launch of its inaugural EU retail store on Via Bagutta in Milan, BOYY collaborated with artist Sam Youkilis on a documentary series of still and moving image works to serve as a visual love letter to Milan and Italian culture. The series is a vibrant patchwork of imagery that encapsulates the rich cultural fabric of the city.
About Sam Youkilis
Sam Youkilis (b. 1993) is a photographer and filmmaker born and raised in New York City. Working with still and moving imagery, Youkilis documents public spaces and landscapes around the globe. The artist's abstracted perspective and play on scale offer a mesmerizing narrative commentary on the experience of travel, international tourism, and the pursuit of idyllic scenery and places. The artist earned his BFA in photography from Bard College in 2016. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Ain’t Bad, and Ignant, as well as on the Instagram accounts of The New Yorker, Vogue Italia, and The Cut. He is currently living and working in Italy.
